From the article:
When Nuclear Blast sent us the proclamation Alive is “easily one of best NB’s put out” we thought it was all PR talk. Smoke up our arse. We’re used to it. Well, turns out the proclamation was correct. Between Hammerfall curling videos, Scar Symmetry making goofy faces, and Swashbuckle ransacking a yacht, we’re accustomed to and occasionally enjoy (Arsis “Forced to Rock” was on repeat for a solid day) slime green-colored cheese. Not Ian McFarland’s Alive. Artfully lensed, beautifully edited and insanely deep, this is the closest most of us will get to Meshuggah. On stage and off. So impressed we were that we fired off a phone call to Nuclear Blast, begged a little and finally got auteur McFarland to talk to us.
